Purpose of Role

  • Manage the company’s relationship with its clients
  • Maintain a high client retention rate and develop long-term relationships
  • Provide support to clients at the Finance Manager/Financial Controller level
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of remote Bookkeepers
  • Ensure Bookkeepers are providing adequate services to clients
  • Work effectively with Growbiz or client’s CFO
  • Work through client issues and provide appropriate recommendations to resolve
  • Work autonomously and with limited supervision

What you'll need to bring to succeed:

  • 7-12 years’ work experience as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualified
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Client management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise heavy workloads
  • Proficient with Xero, MYOB, Netuite & other cloud based software
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Suggest and implement process improvements, to streamline and automate finance processes
  • Australian Tax & Accounting Knowledge
  • Knowledge & experience of working with BAS, FBT and Income Tax, Workers Compensation and Payroll Tax reconciliations
  • Experienced in preparing financial statements and interpreting the story behind the numbers
